Al Zorah’s golf course was built around the mangroves, not instead of them. Nicklaus Design routed all 18 holes — a par-72 layout stretching 7,169 yards — through tidal channels that double as water hazards, with flamingos, herons and egrets among roughly 58 bird species that treat the fairways as an extension of the reserve rather than an obstacle to fly around.
