In celebration of their 45th anniversary, the iconic Japanese sci-fi franchise Gundam has teamed up with Crocs. They have launched an exciting new Crocs Gundam Collab: the Gundam x Crocs All-Terrain Clog. Building on Crocs’ history of unique partnerships, this collaboration pays homage to the legendary RX-78-2 Gundam, famously piloted by Amuro Ray.
A Tribute to RX-78-2
The design of the Gundam x Crocs All-Terrain Clog is a vibrant tribute to the RX-78-2. The upper part of the clog showcases a striking blue, red, and yellow graphic. In this Crocs Gundam collab, the collaboration graphic mirrors the distinctive colors of the famous mecha.
Adding to the aesthetic appeal, the clogs have custom Jibbitz charms. They include an additional yellow TPU piece that extends towards the forefoot, enhancing the visual representation of the Gundam.
Enhanced Utility and Comfort
These clogs come with significant utilitarian upgrades compared to the standard Crocs, and they embody the essence of this exciting collaboration between Crocs and Gundam.
The All-Terrain Clog features a more rugged outsole, designed to handle diverse outdoor conditions.
The heel strap is enhanced with padded fabric and nylon straps, ensuring superior comfort and stability.
TPU pieces connect the lateral and medial sides of the strap. This adds durability and a touch of the Gundam’s mechanical aesthetic.
Exclusive Branding
Adding to the exclusivity of this collaboration, the “RX-78-2” name is on the strap. Meanwhile, the TPU components boast the logo of the Earth Federation Forces, highlighting this special collaboration between Gundam and Crocs in unique ways.
These details make the clogs a must-have for Gundam enthusiasts and collectors.
Release Information
The Gundam x Crocs All-Terrain Clog will be available for purchase on July 23rd via the Crocs website. They will be in both adult and kids sizing, priced at $75 and $60 respectively, creating much anticipation for the Crocs Gundam collaboration release.
