Version 1.0 · Updated 10 October 2026

On your device

Saved stories, offline text copies, reading history and reading positions are kept in the app’s private storage on your device. The app has no reader account or cloud library service. Device backups depend on your iPhone or iPad settings. You can clear saved stories and history in the app’s Settings.

Reading the live magazine

Online pages load from whatshotinuae.com. The website and hosting services receive ordinary web requests, including your IP address and browser or app information. Website forms, embeds, cookies and third-party links have their own data flows. This page supplements the website privacy policy.

Advertising choices

Advertising is off by default. Known Google advertising and analytics domains are blocked while advertising is off. If you choose Allow advertising and grant iOS tracking permission, Google web advertising and website analytics can load. The app then registers the reader with Google’s Mobile Ads SDK. Website consent choices also apply; iOS tracking permission does not replace web consent.

Advertising information

Google’s Mobile Ads SDK privacy manifest declares device identifiers, approximate location, advertising and product-interaction data, performance, diagnostics and crash information for advertising and analytics purposes. Device identifiers may be used for tracking where permission is granted. Approximate location can be inferred from an IP address without requesting precise location permission.

Changing or clearing data

Turn advertising off in the app and manage tracking permission in iPhone or iPad Settings. Clear website cookies and cache in the app to reset website preferences. This keeps your local reading library. External pages opened in a browser use that browser’s own settings and data.

Device permissions

The app does not request your contacts, precise location, camera or microphone and does not upload your saved-story library. No separate native audience analytics service is included in this version.
