For 23–25 October, I’d choose the main outing before trying to fill every gap in the weekend. Expo City’s family festival and Nancy Ajram’s arena show are different Saturday plans, not two boxes to tick in a rush. The seven options below give you electronic music, Arabic pop, Bollywood, an orchestra, children’s play and poetry—with the audience and booking rules kept visible.
My weekend verdict: choose one anchor booking
For the lower-entry-cost family option, I’d start with the Expo City festival and budget separately for extras. For adults, let the music or programme decide. Sunday’s afternoon choices overlap, and a seven o’clock event is not a guaranteed warm-up for an eight o’clock arena show. Pick the one you want to enjoy without watching the clock.

21 October price and access update: Nancy Ajram’s ticket listing now starts at AED420, not the earlier AED210. The Expo City festival still advertises AED30 entry; its craft options make a useful family-budget comparison below. MËSTIZA remains advertised from AED200, Gogo Village from AED150 per child, and Romantic Masters from AED200. Friday 23 October: MËSTIZA at Be Beach
The SACRO night brings MËSTIZA’s flamenco-and-electronic direction to Be Beach, with RICHA and MRGOODALF also listed. The ticket page gives 8pm doors and tickets from AED200. That is the admission time, not a separately confirmed headline-set time.
This is an adults-only choice: minimum age 21. The published dress code is beach chic, with no flip-flops, and the entry policy specifies couples, mixed groups or ladies. Check those conditions before gathering a group or buying an individual ticket. A music-event ticket is not a daytime beach or pool pass.
Saturday 24 October: a festival or an arena night
The Spirit of Mexico at Expo City
Al Wasl Plaza hosts The Spirit of Mexico from 4–10pm. The programme lists cultural performances, creative workshops, food and retail stalls, and an outdoor screening of Coco. This is our lower-entry-cost family pick, not an all-inclusive food-and-activities package.
Admission is advertised at AED30 including VAT. For two adults and two children aged six and eight, four paid admissions would total AED120 before food, transport or extras. The listing says one children’s workshop is included subject to availability; other activities can cost extra. Its summary and detailed terms differ over whether a three-year-old enters free, so confirm that exact age directly instead of assuming the concession. Strollers must be parked outside the Al Wasl Plaza venue under the published rules. The craft programme lists a free mask-decorating corner, AED20 flower crowns and AED30 maracas, subject to its availability conditions. For that same four-ticket family, one AED20 crown for each child brings the entry-plus-craft example to AED160; choosing two AED30 maraca activities makes it AED180, still before food and transport. I’d agree the extras with the children before arriving: AED30 entry does not mean every activity is included.
Nancy Ajram at Coca-Cola Arena
Nancy Ajram’s Saturday concert now shows an 8pm start and tickets from AED420 on Platinumlist, checked on 21 October. Use the timing on the issued ticket and any venue update rather than the older 9pm listing. Choose it if the concert itself is the evening’s main event. The arena is in City Walk; it is not a quick walk from Expo City. We would choose one of these Saturday plans rather than promise that a family festival, transfer and arena entry will fit comfortably together.
The published arena terms require under-16s to be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over, and guests over 12 months need a valid ticket. The Elevate Deck has its own 21+ rule: a general concert age policy does not apply unchanged to every ticket category. At the current AED420 starting listing, two admissions start at AED840 before any checkout additions—a very different budget from the earlier entry price. Platinumlist says ticket QR codes appear 48 hours before the event. Keep the booking confirmation and use your original seller’s account if you need help; a missing QR code before that window is not by itself proof the purchase failed.
Sunday 25 October: choose the audience and start time
Romantic Masters at Dubai Opera
The UAE National Orchestra’s Romantic Masters begins at 4pm in Dubai Opera’s Main Auditorium, from AED200. The published programme includes Rossini, Mendelssohn and Brahms, with conductor Umberto Clerici and violinist Júlia Pusker. It is our pick for an afternoon built around an orchestral performance. Read the show’s age and dress rules before buying for children; a matinee is not automatically an all-ages show.
Kids Halloween Party at Gogo Village
The Gogo Village party runs 4–7pm in Al Quoz Industrial 3 and is designed for ages four to ten. Child tickets start at AED150. The listing includes indoor play, creative activities, face painting and a Frankenstein meet-and-greet. Socks are mandatory for children and accompanying adults entering the play area; ask about the adult admission charge and supervision arrangements before comparing a family total.
This overlaps with Romantic Masters. Choose around the children’s interests and admission rules rather than trying to treat the two as consecutive activities. The published Gogo Village ticket is non-cancellable and non-changeable.
Kuch Alfaaz by Nitinn R Miranni
Kuch Alfaaz starts at 7pm at Troy, Ramee Dream Hotel, from AED50. Nitinn R Miranni’s programme combines spoken word, storytelling and live music by Abhiruchi Singh and Jackson John. The ticket seller specifies 21+ admission, smart-casual or traditional dress, and food and drinks purchased separately. This is the smaller-scale alternative for adults who prefer words and music to an arena concert—not a children’s storytelling session.
Shaan: All of Me Tour
Shaan’s All of Me Tour is listed at Coca-Cola Arena for 8pm, with tickets from AED150. Choose it for a Bollywood-led evening rather than treating every concert this weekend as interchangeable. The ticket page requires under-16s to be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over; guests over 12 months need a ticket. Check the final seat, entry category and timing on your booking.
What we would book—and what we would not combine
For a lower-entry-cost family outing, start with Saturday’s Expo City festival and leave room in the budget for food and paid activities. For younger children who want indoor play, compare Sunday’s Gogo Village event. For adults, pick the music first: MËSTIZA for electronic nightlife, Nancy Ajram for Arabic pop, Shaan for Bollywood, or Romantic Masters for an orchestra. Kuch Alfaaz is the poetry-and-live-music option, with an adult-only door policy despite its early start.
Sunday’s 4pm orchestra and 4–7pm children’s party overlap, while the 7pm poetry event and 8pm arena concert are competing evening plans. An early finish is not verified for either evening show. Choose a main booking, allow time for arrival and transport, and avoid buying a second event on the assumption that the first will end conveniently.

- Open the exact dated event page, not only a rolling “this weekend” calendar that may still show the previous Sunday.
- Check whether a displayed time means doors, performance or the whole activity window.
