AURA SKYPOOL is a future-booking choice, not somewhere I would send you for a swim today. Its official experiences page still states a renovation closure and advertises bookings from 24 November. I’d choose the time of day, seating and actual pool entitlement before paying. The view is the draw, but the session and food budget decide the purchase.
My recommendation: plan the session, not a visit today
I would keep AURA on the future shortlist and use the official dated booking to settle the reopened session. No current-service score is assigned during the listed closure. The full-day price needs to earn its place against the time I can use; a restaurant minimum spend and pool admission are not the same product. Confirm the specific experience rather than assume every beautiful table comes with a swim.

What is AURA SKYPOOL?
AURA is the 360-degree infinity pool on the 50th floor of The Palm Tower, Palm Jumeirah. The wraparound setting is the attraction: you are choosing a viewpoint and a time of day as much as a swim. Entry is through The St. Regis hotel; check the reservation instructions for the date you book.
Advertised pool sessions and starting prices
These are published starting prices checked on 18 October, not a quote for a particular date, view or bed. The closure notice still applies. Use the linked experience pages and the live booking calendar to establish what can actually be reserved.

Our comparison is based on published duration, not a hands-on assessment of the seating. The sunrise page says arriving later does not move the 9am finishing time, and the morning page warns that direct sunshine is not guaranteed. Do not pay for hours you cannot use or assume that every view receives the same sun.
What is included — and what costs extra?
The standard pool-session terms include allocated seating, pool use, one towel, changing facilities and lockers. They exclude food and beverages; the entrance fee is non-redeemable. Additional towels and robe rental cost extra. An indoor lounge minimum spend is a different booking, not evidence that a pool pass comes with dining credit.
That distinction changes the budget. For two adults, the advertised sunrise entrance floor is AED 450 before food and drink, while morning starts at AED 500 and afternoon at AED 600. Those totals are simply two times the published per-person minimum; they do not confirm two seats at that price on your chosen date.
Is the full-day option better value?
Not automatically. The advertised morning and afternoon starting prices add to AED 550 per person, compared with AED 875 for the full-day option. But the separate sessions leave a 2pm–3pm gap, may use different seats and inventories, and do not establish a right to stay between bookings. The AED 325 arithmetic difference is not a like-for-like saving or a bookable combined offer.
Our recommendation is to choose the hours you will genuinely use, then compare the same date and seating category. If uninterrupted access matters, ask the venue about the full-day product. If you only want a swim and a view, extra hours may add less value than keeping money for the meal afterwards.
Children: read the specific experience, not a blanket age claim
AURA’s pages are not fully consistent: the Sunrise FAQ says 12+, while its general terms say 15+ for pool experiences. If your guest is aged 12–14, obtain written confirmation for the selected session rather than choosing whichever version suits the booking.
The dedicated Family Swim page separately advertises 1 December 2026–6 January 2027: sunrise on Wednesdays and Sundays, Wednesday night swims, and additional sunrise/night sessions on 1 December. It welcomes accompanied children aged six and above. One child aged 6–11 is complimentary per paying adult and shares that adult’s seating; ages 12+ and additional children pay the standard rate. Each adult may bring up to two children. This exception does not apply to every ordinary session.
Check the live Family Swim date and terms before paying, bring the required ID, and keep children under direct supervision. An adult lounge booking is not a substitute for a family pool reservation.
Booking checks before you pay
- Confirm the date is after the closure and that the exact session is bookable.
- Compare the selected view, bed or seating allocation, not just the lowest advertised price.
- Separate entrance, food, drink and any extra rentals in your total.
- Resolve the age-policy conflict with AURA if it affects your group.
- Read the cancellation, amendment and weather terms shown with your reservation; do not assume a discounted booking is flexible.
Is it Dubai’s highest infinity pool?
AURA markets a specific distinction: the highest 360-degree infinity pool. That is not interchangeable with the highest outdoor infinity pool in a building. The public Guinness record page checked for this update lists Address Beach Resort at 293.90m and notes that records are not always immediately updated online. Compare the actual setting and access conditions, not an assumption that every highest-pool headline describes the same record.
