Best Sneaker Releases of 2026: The Drops Worth Chasing in the UAE

2026 is shaping up to be one of the most stacked sneaker years in recent memory — a mix of blockbuster Jordan retros, a new wave of signature shoes, and the terrace-trainer trend refusing to slow down. Here are the releases worth marking your calendar for, and, just as importantly, how to actually get a pair in the UAE.

    The Big Jordan Drops

Jordan Brand is leading the year. The most talked-about collaboration is the re-release of the Virgil Abloh Archives x Air Jordan 1 High “Euro”, the colourway originally sold only in Europe in 2018 — a genuine grail moment for many. Alongside it, expect the return of the “Space Jam” Air Jordan 11, a Fragment Design x Union x Air Jordan 1 hook-up, the “Reverse Infrared” Air Jordan 6, and — one of the summer’s headline acts — the Air Jordan 3 “Bin23”. Denim heads should also watch for the Levi’s x Air Jordan 3 collection, a follow-up to 2018’s Levi’s AJ4s, this time with different materials across the run.

    The Signature Era Expands

2026 is a huge year for signature shoes. Basketball takes centre stage with models tied to Caitlin Clark and A’ja Wilson, plus buzz around rising stars like Cooper Flagg and Victor Wembanyama. The crossover release of the year, though, may be music-led: fresh off an Album of the Year Grammy and a Super Bowl halftime slot, Bad Bunny launches his first original signature silhouette with adidas, the BadBo 1.0.

adidas Terraces & New Balance Keep Rolling

The low-profile terrace trend that took over 2024–25 is still going strong: the adidas Samba, Gazelle, SL 72 and Taekwondo/Tokyo silhouettes remain everyday staples, refreshed with new colourways and collaborations throughout the year. New Balance’s hype trio — the 550, 2002R and 9060 — also keeps landing in fresh makeups, so there is plenty beyond the Swoosh worth chasing.

How to Cop the 2026 Drops in the UAE

Getting a hyped pair in the UAE comes down to knowing the channels. For Nike and Jordan, the official Nike UAE site and the SNKRS app run the raffles for limited releases; adidas drops go through the adidas app and CONFIRMED. Multi-brand retailers Sun & Sand Sports and Foot Locker UAE stock the broader ranges and handle many in-store raffles, while Concepts (CNCPTS) Dubai, Fairfax DXB and Newcop are your best bets for the more exclusive collaborations.

Missed out? The UAE’s resale scene has matured fast. The Edit DXB and Kicks Kulture offer authenticated pairs of sold-out releases, and VIP Sneakers is one of the region’s largest online marketplaces. And if you want to be first to everything, Sole DXB — the region’s biggest street-culture festival — is where brands stage their most exclusive drops each year.

Release dates shift, so treat the above as the shortlist rather than gospel — but on current form, 2026 is a year the sneaker calendar is worth keeping close.
