Event Overview: House Music at the Waterfront
This electronic music night forms part of the opening celebrations for the World Triathlon Multisport Championships. As international athletes and visitors arrive in the capital for the competition, the waterfront setting at Surf Abu Dhabi will host a mix of international headliners and UAE-based talent.
The Garden, the outdoor event space at the venue, will be transformed into an open-air electronic music venue for the evening. This setting provides a unique backdrop, combining the energy of house music with the coastal atmosphere of Hudayriyat Island. For those looking for similar coastal vibes in the capital, Ilios Beach Club in Abu Dhabi offers another premium waterfront experience.
The Lineup and Set Times
The running order below was reported in Mixmag UAE’s 22 October announcement. These are announced times, not a guarantee: the ticket terms say performance times and the lineup may change. The closing sets after midnight fall on Saturday, 14 November.
- James Greene: Opening the night as guests arrive.
- Decembr12: Following the opening set.
- Groove Armada: 9:00 PM – 11:00 PM. The British electronic duo brings nearly three decades of history, including hits like ‘Superstylin’ and ‘I See You Baby’.
- Claptone: 11:00 PM – 12:30 AM. The golden-masked producer, known for ‘No Eyes’, takes over for the peak of the night.
- Kinsell: 12:30 AM – 2:00 AM. Handling closing duties to end the event.
Tickets and Entry
The event’s Platinumlist page displayed tickets from AED250 on 5 November 2026, with doors and the listed event start at 7:00 PM. Two tickets at that displayed starting price would be AED500 before any checkout charges, transport, food or drinks; this is arithmetic, not a package quote or a promise of remaining stock.
Entry checklist: what to know before travelling
- Ticket and ID: use the official sales channel; the ticket name must match the attendee’s ID. The listing says anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult aged 21+, while alcohol service is restricted to guests aged 21+ with valid photo ID. These are different conditions; do not infer that all entry is 21+.
- No re-entry: plan to remain inside after your ticket is scanned. The page says there is no cloakroom or bag storage, and bags larger than 30 × 30 × 15 cm are prohibited.
- Dress and belongings: the event rules prohibit beachwear, outside food and drinks, and professional camera equipment without permission. Being beside a wave pool does not make this a swimming or beachwear ticket.
- Refunds: read the event-specific terms, not only the platform’s generic refundable-ticket banner. The listing says tickets are non-refundable except for cancellation, with no refunds for weather or lineup changes; postponement tickets remain valid for the new date.
- Getting home: if staying for the announced 2:00 AM finish, arrange your return journey for Saturday, 14 November, rather than Friday night’s calendar date. Recheck the running order before travel.
Prices, restrictions and timings above reflect the listing checked on 5 November 2026. Reconfirm the selected ticket’s current terms before payment; this is a researched booking guide, not a firsthand event review.
