Which Ski Dubai ticket should you buy?
Choose by intent. A slope ticket is for people who can already ski or snowboard. A Snow Park pass is for snow play and rides. Beginners should choose a discovery lesson or lesson package rather than treating the main slope as a practice area.

The slope ability test competitors often omit
Ski Dubai’s public slope products are not beginner tickets. To enter, guests should be able to stop safely, control their speed, link turns and use the lifts. The venue can assess ability and move an unsafe guest off the slope. A waiver is also required.
If you cannot meet those four conditions, book a discovery lesson or a coached beginner product. Ski lessons generally start at age three; snowboard lessons start at age eight. This distinction matters because a Snow Park ticket does not turn into independent ski-slope access, and a two-hour slope ticket is not a substitute for tuition.
For children, read the rules on the exact product selected. Ski Dubai’s published wording varies by page: slope products apply different supervision conditions to ages three to eight, nine to 13 or 14, while a parent or guardian must sign for a guest under 18. Treat the live checkout rule as controlling and keep an adult in the mall even when direct slope supervision is not required.
What is included—and what to wear underneath
Relevant passes supply the expensive items most visitors do not own in Dubai. Full-day slope admission currently includes boots, helmet, skis or snowboard, jacket and waterproof trousers, socks and fleece gloves. A locker is also included with the core slope products. Snow Park packages supply the clothing and snow boots specified on the selected product.
Wear a breathable base layer under the supplied outerwear: a long-sleeved top, full-length trousers or leggings and comfortable socks. Avoid thick cotton that stays damp. Closed shoes are sensible for the journey, even though snow boots are provided inside. A beanie or neck warmer can make a long visit more comfortable, especially for children, but check what can safely be worn with a helmet.
Ski Dubai publishes clothing sizes around S to 4XL on its product pages, although one FAQ starts the range at M. If anyone in the group is outside that range, contact the venue before paying rather than assuming a suitable size will be available. Helmets are mandatory for younger children; wearing one is the sensible choice for every slope user.
Snow Park rides, penguins and activity rules
Snow Park is the non-ski option. The current Snow Base description includes Zorb Ball, Bobsled, Tubing Run, Bumper Cars, Climbing Wall, Snow Plough Playground and Sliding Hill. It is a better fit for a first snow experience than buying slope access without the required skills.
The free-to-watch March of the Penguins is currently scheduled at 2pm, 4pm, 6pm and 8pm. A march is not the same product as a close penguin encounter; if an interaction is important, confirm that it is explicitly included in the selected ticket and reserve its time slot.
Premium activities have their own safety limits. Ski Dubai currently states that Snow Bullet riders must be over eight years old, at least 120cm tall, weigh more than 30kg and less than 120kg, and satisfy the health restrictions. Pregnant guests and people with certain medical conditions cannot ride. Restrictions shown at booking and by staff on the day take precedence over any summary online.
How long do you need at Ski Dubai?
- Two-hour slope ticket: allow about three hours door to door for check-in, changing, equipment fitting, the slope session and changing afterwards.
- Snow Park visit: allow three to four hours if the group wants several rides and a penguin march.
- Bundled pass: allow four to six hours when a meal, scheduled encounter, lesson or premium activity is included.
- First lesson: arrive at least 40 minutes before the booked lesson time unless the live confirmation specifies longer.
Those are planning estimates, not venue guarantees. Queues, clothing sizes, school holidays and reserved activity slots change the total. The ticket timer and the time spent inside are not necessarily identical, so read the booking confirmation rather than arriving at the stated session time.
Opening hours: check the selected date
Ski Dubai’s current ticket pages list Monday to Friday from 10am to midnight and Saturday to Sunday from 9am to midnight, with the last ticket at 10.30pm. However, its FAQ says the venue closes at 11pm from Monday to Thursday and at midnight from Friday to Sunday.
Because the operator’s own pages conflict, do not plan around a copied timetable alone. The available session at checkout is the reliable guide for the chosen date, particularly during Ramadan, public holidays and private events. Arrive earlier than the last-ticket time if the pass contains several activities.
Getting there by Metro, taxi or car
Ski Dubai is inside Mall of the Emirates, Sheikh Zayed Road, Al Barsha 1. Mall of the Emirates Metro station is on the Red Line and connects to the first floor of the mall through an enclosed walkway. This is usually the simplest option at peak weekend times. From inside the mall, follow the Ski Dubai signs rather than relying on a floor number in an old listing.
The mall has around 7,000 covered parking spaces and now uses ticketless, barrierless Parkin number-plate recognition. Current public parking charges are:

Saturday and Sunday parking is free under the mall’s published schedule. Ski Dubai and VOX visitors can receive two additional free hours, but the visit must be validated at a Customer Service desk. Do this before leaving; do not assume the ticket purchase automatically changes the vehicle record. Overnight parking is AED 200 per day, a pass-through is AED 3, and an unpaid fee can attract an additional AED 150 if it is not settled within three days. Accessibility, health and family checks
- Under twos: children younger than two are not admitted to Ski Dubai.
- Mobility or sensory requirements: contact the venue before buying so staff can match the guest to accessible areas and safe activities; not every snow ride can be adapted.
