I would have chosen Koko Bay’s music-led entry over a gala dinner for this booking: the reason to go was Lost Frequencies, not a meal squeezed around the countdown. That is a preference about the advertised format, not a claim that I attended. The distinction matters because this page previously mixed up the year and presented an old party as a new invitation.
This is the archive of Wednesday, 31 December 2025, welcoming 2026. The ticket record now says the event ended. It does not establish a return on 31 December 2026. Keep the useful package comparisons below as history, not current prices or an instruction to buy an expired ticket.
Why this artist made sense for the setting
Lost Frequencies’ own biography identifies the Belgian producer as Félix De Laet and traces his breakthrough to Are You With Me. That record gives a better starting point than calling him the world’s greatest DJ and promising that everyone will love the set. His pop-meets-dance catalogue was a clear reason for a listener already drawn to that sound to consider the booking.
I would begin with Are You With Me, then compare it with Where Are You Now before deciding whether this is the kind of headline act I want for a long evening. That is a listening suggestion, not the Koko Bay setlist. A familiar song on an artist’s profile does not prove when—or whether—it was played during a particular performance.
For me, the interesting contrast was the scale: a recognisable international act within a beachfront restaurant-and-party format, rather than an arena ticket with a fixed seat. That changes the questions I would ask. How much room is there to move? Is my package standing or seated? What does access to the dance floor actually include? Those are more useful than a promise of a “perfect vibe”.

The packages: separate access, food and the table
The dated 21 November 2025 announcement report advertised entry from AED 299. I would read that as the starting entry category, not a dinner price or a promise of drinks. Its reported 8pm programme belongs to the 2025 event. Prices and availability from that announcement cannot be rolled forward to another New Year’s Eve.
The archived seller listed two food-and-drink entry categories: AED 450 for three drinks and one bite, and AED 750 for five drinks and two bites. They were entry packages, not interchangeable descriptions of a reserved gala dinner. The seller described house beverages and voucher redemption; “drinks included” did not mean an unlimited premium bar.
My choice between the two entry bundles
I would start with the AED 450 option. It offered a defined inclusion without pushing the evening into a larger package automatically. The difference to AED 750 was AED 300 for two additional drinks and one additional bite. That arithmetic is clear; whether the upgrade was worthwhile depends on the actual menu, voucher rules and what the guest intended to use.
I would not declare that extra AED 300 a bargain without the item prices and redemption conditions. Nor would I encourage anyone to drink more simply to justify a prepaid package. Unused inclusions are not savings. For someone focused on the music, a lower entry commitment leaves a clearer view of what the rest of the evening costs.
Table totals are not per-person admission prices
The archived ticket page’s table schedule was different from the earlier press report. For example, it listed a Yellow Zone table for ten at AED 7,000, described as redeemable against food and beverages. That is a group commitment, not a publicly offered AED 700 individual ticket. I would use the dated seller record when analysing that particular offer, not blend two versions of the schedule.
| People sharing that historical AED 7,000 commitment | Simple equal share | What the calculation does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| 10 | AED 700 each | An individually bookable ticket or extra spending above the table allowance. |
| 8 | AED 875 each | A discount for leaving two places unused. |
| 6 | About AED 1,166.67 each | A cheaper table total; the final split needs rounding. |
This is why I would settle the group size before arguing about which zone sounds more glamorous. A smaller group sharing the same minimum can pay substantially more per person. Check what is redeemable, whether all intended orders qualify, how service and other charges are treated, and whether unused credit expires. A fully redeemable allowance is not money returned in cash.
I would choose a table only if the group wanted that space and could agree the full commitment. For someone who wants to move around and follow the music, a table can be an expensive answer to the wrong question. “VIP” is not a substitute for a seating plan or written inclusions.
The gala dinner was a separate decision
The archived seller distinguished gala-dinner arrangements from standing access. That matters more than describing every option as premium. A meal-focused guest and a guest prioritising the DJ need different things from the night. I would ask for the exact menu, service window, drinks limit and position rather than assume an entry bundle included a three-course dinner.
It would also be a mistake to turn a seller’s table-view description into a guarantee of an uninterrupted sightline from every position. A table can be suitable for a seated group without putting every guest close to the decks. Ask what the booked location actually means.

The retained artist photograph illustrates Lost Frequencies; it is not identified as a photograph from this Koko Bay performance.
The conditions I would read before the headline price
The archived seller required full advance payment described as non-refundable and permitted children only in the gala-dinner area. Those conditions make a substantial difference to a family or a group whose plans might change. They are historical booking terms, not an assessment of anyone’s statutory rights or the policy of a later event.
I would get an answer to four questions before paying for another event in this format:
- Which area am I buying? Confirm standing, dining or the exact table zone, including guest count.
- What is included and when? Get the menu or vouchers, redemption locations and service deadlines.
- Who can enter that area? Confirm age and identification requirements for the actual booking.
- What happens if plans change? Read cancellation, transfer and organiser-change conditions before payment.
I would keep the dated offer and confirmation together. A screenshot of a general venue page is weaker evidence than the actual package accepted. A homepage link labelled “official tickets” is not enough to establish an event, date or entitlement.
The view and the journey need their own checks
Palm West Beach was the advertised location, but the previous article overpromised a clear fireworks view and a frictionless journey. I would not choose a costly table on a generic panorama alone. Ask for its position, potential obstructions and the programme applicable to that date. A marketing photograph is not a viewing test.
For a future evening, my first practical question would be the journey home. Confirm the actual access and pickup arrangements, not just the drive to the venue. I would allow room in the budget for transport and a plan that does not depend on a precise last-minute taxi arrival. No fixed traffic delay, surge multiplier or guaranteed pickup time is established here.
Do not rely on the old monorail advice
As checked on 19 October 2026, the Palm Monorail operator’s homepage states that service is temporarily suspended until further notice for maintenance. A separate timetable remaining online does not override that service alert. The earlier recommendation to use it for this outing must not be treated as a current route.
Recheck the operator before planning a later journey. This current notice is not used here to reconstruct precisely how every guest travelled in December 2025. It simply prevents an old transport paragraph from directing readers to an unavailable service today.
What I would wear—and what that does not promise
For a beach-party format, I would choose secure flat shoes and something I can comfortably move in, with a light layer for later. That is a practical preference, not the organiser’s confirmed dress code. I would check a new booking’s actual requirements before assuming tailored shorts, sandals or any other item guarantees entry.
The useful distinction is between dressing for the event and being told that one outfit is universally correct. Dinner seating, a dance floor and sand do not create identical practical needs. I would choose for the booked area instead of borrowing a generic “beach chic” rule from another venue.

My verdict: music-led entry was the stronger proposition
The appeal was a named artist and a clearly defined night out. I would have chosen the smaller entry bundle over upgrading purely for status. The table made sense only for a committed group that wanted its own space and understood the full spend. Those are concrete choices; they do not require calling this the hottest party in Dubai.
This remains an event archive, not a performance review or a future ticket listing. The useful takeaway for another beachfront booking is the same: separate access from inclusions, do the group arithmetic, read the conditions and check how you will get home. A countdown is exciting enough without a wrong year or an invented guarantee.
For another historical music-first versus dinner comparison, see our Maluma at Nammos NYE archive. Its programme and prices belong to that separate event, not an alternative currently on sale.
Frequently asked questions
When and where is the Lost Frequencies event?
The archived Koko Bay event was on Wednesday, 31 December 2025, on Palm West Beach, welcoming 2026. It was not a confirmed 31 December 2026 booking. The retrieved ticket listing marks it ended.
Are tickets still available for Lost Frequencies on New Year’s Eve?
The event covered here has ended. Do not treat its archived prices, packages or old booking instructions as a new ticket offer. A later performance needs its own dated announcement and terms.
What is the age restriction for the Koko Bay NYE party?
The archived seller terms permitted children only in the gala dinner area. That is not a blanket rule for every part of the venue or a future event. Confirm the exact age, identification and area rules on any new booking.
Sources and review scope
Checked 19 October 2026 against the archived ticket record, dated announcement report, artist biography and current monorail alert. The earlier generic SevenRooms citation did not identify the event; it has been replaced with the actual ticket record. Koko Bay’s older homepage retrieved unrelated gambling text during this review, so it is not used as evidence of safe current ticket availability. No checkout, attendance, performance score, meal, sound-system test or fireworks sightline test is claimed. Three body images and the hero were viewed and preserved; the white-shirt image description corrected. Author, original publication date, indexing and canonical settings are preserved.
