Galaxy’s current cocktail selection is disco-themed; Samba Room’s operator emphasises performers and late-night DJs; Paradiso presents concept-led drinks; Ly_La publishes a Monday–Saturday late opening. Those distinctions give each a reason to make the shortlist. We would choose a cocktail menu for a drinks-focused stop and a named event programme when music is the main plan. Match the address to the rest of the outing: DIFC, Palm Jumeirah and JBR need different travel arrangements.
For a Tuesday, Galaxy opens at 8pm and Ly_La at 10pm; for a Sunday, both are closed under their current operator schedules, while Paradiso lists 5pm–2am. That changes the shortlist before drinks are considered. At Galaxy, the published table sitting is two hours, reservations start at two guests, and weekend or large-party tables can carry a minimum spend. We would establish the actual booking cost before planning a long bar visit. A confirmed menu, seat and service window are more useful than assuming a password, a hidden bookshelf or a complimentary-drinks offer applies to every venue.
Choose a cocktail stop or a music-led night
A cocktail-led stop and a performance-led night need different bookings. Start with the current drinks menu when the cocktail is the reason for going. Start with the dated programme when a DJ or performance is the reason. Our preference is to settle the main plan first, then choose the seating and length of stay. A bar with a themed menu can still have music, but its published opening time and table terms are the facts that make the outing workable.

Galaxy is a Tashas Group bar at Unit C01, Gate Village Building 9. We would choose it for its named cocktail menu and detailed reservation policy. The operator records earlier international awards, including its 2023 placement; those are historical references, not a current 2026 ranking. The immediate planning detail is its present schedule: closed Sunday and Monday, opening at 8pm on the other days. Use the bar’s exact unit and reservation details when arranging a DIFC evening.
Galaxy describes a Greek-rooted, star-inspired room. We would choose it for the current cocktail menu and cosmic setting. Its policy says table requests are not guaranteed and identifies the whole venue as smoking. Choose another setting if a smoke-free bar is essential to the evening.
The current cocktail page has a disco theme. Knock on Wood lists vodka, pink ginger and cucumber; Funkytown lists whisky, raicilla and chinotto. Those are the menu distinctions we would use to choose a drink. Read the actual preparation and current price when ordering, and use the menu’s actual price for the bill.
Choose the date around the actual opening schedule and the programme you want. Galaxy’s Tuesday–Wednesday finish is 3am, with Thursday–Saturday to 4am. The operator’s table policy matters as much as that closing time: a reserved sitting is two hours, so a late venue finish does not mean an early table is yours for the whole night. We would settle the sitting, minimum spend and cancellation terms when reserving.
Galaxy’s published reservation policy requires guests over 21, with ID potentially requested. Reservations begin at two guests; parties of three or more must be mixed-gender under the venue’s stated policy. Weekend or large-party tables can carry a minimum spend. Tables are held for 20 minutes, and no-show or late-cancellation fees are AED 150 per person, with free cancellation up to 24 hours ahead. These are practical conditions to establish before taking a group.
Samba Room: Dining Meets Disco

Samba Room’s current owner page lists Level 51, The Palm Tower and describes a nightlife programme with performers, late-night DJs and a dance floor. We would choose it when that programme is the reason for a Palm Jumeirah evening. Contact +971 4 278 4888 for the actual date and session. It is associated with SUSHISAMBA, but the event booking still needs its own timing, table and beverage conditions; an ordinary restaurant meal is not a complete nightlife reservation.
Choose the Samba Room event first, then establish the applicable beverage menu, table minimum and what spending counts towards it. Use the amount in the booking to price the group’s night.

Paradiso: The Theatre of Drink

Menu: use Paradiso Dubai’s current cocktail and food selection
Paradiso Dubai is at FIVE LUXE in JBR. Its brand is associated with the Barcelona bar named World’s Best Bar in 2022; that award belongs to Barcelona, not a separate award for the Dubai room. We would choose Dubai’s current concept-led cocktail selection and event programme on their own terms. The operator lists an earlier Saturday start at 4pm, with Sunday–Wednesday opening at 5pm and a 2am finish.
The Dubai site names concept drinks including The Cloud, Kriptonite and Immersion. Inspect the current menu for the actual ingredients and presentation rather than assume every drink arrives as a smoke-filled orb, perfume atomiser or a particular vessel. Our choice is to select the drink by its preparation, then the presentation we want as part of the experience. The concept is a reason to compare it with a conventional bar, not a tasting score for every cocktail.
Paradiso’s earlier 5pm opening makes it our JBR choice for a drink before a late club visit. Saturday starts at 4pm. Choose the bar table or dated event that fits the outing.
Ly_La: A Desert Dream Beneath DIFC

Ly_La is beneath Alaya at Gate Village 4 in DIFC. The operator describes a late lounge with international DJs and modern instrumental performances. Its current schedule is Monday–Saturday, 10pm–3am, with Sunday closed. That makes it our late-start music option on this shortlist. Use the Ly_La contact, +971 56 680 0430, rather than assume a reservation at the restaurant above includes the downstairs room. Choose the session and table through the lounge’s own booking.
The lounge’s published identity centres on its music programme. We would choose it for a night planned around that programme, then establish the seating, arrival and spending terms. A 10pm opening means it is not the same plan as a 7pm cocktail stop. If the group wants dinner first, book that meal separately and leave time for the lounge’s actual session. The different start time is the practical distinction from the other bars here.
Price Ly_La from its actual drinks menu and table arrangement. Establish what a package includes and what is ordered separately before collecting the group’s money.
Ly_La opens Monday–Saturday at 10pm and closes Sundays. Choose the DJ or programme attached to the date; that is the reason we would reserve the downstairs lounge.

Booking cost and timing
Galaxy’s published no-show or late-cancellation charge is AED 150 per guest. For four guests, that is AED 600 if the stated fee applies. Its free-cancellation window is up to 24 hours in advance, and the reserved sitting lasts two hours. Settle those terms and any minimum spend before treating the cocktail menu as the whole budget. At the other bars, use the quote or event package attached to the reservation rather than import Galaxy’s rules.
