Choose the bar showing your fixture with a usable seat and sound. Current branches, games, service times and UAE kick-off conversions replace stale venue and offer claims.
The Short Version
For a Dubai sports-bar booking, I care about the match and the seat before the screen count. Offside gets my JBR shortlist, Bedrock the Marina sport-and-games brief, McGettigan’s the JLT pub plan, and The 44 the bowling-and-fixture evening. Tell the team the competition, teams and UAE start time. Twenty screens are no use if none is showing the game you came for.
My choice
My first choice is the venue that confirms the fixture, commentary and a usable table. Then I’d compare the food and event terms. A large screen is a feature; a clear sightline with the right game is the reason to book. Settle any package or minimum before inviting the whole group.

Start with the fixture and the seat
For a weekend daytime match, I would compare McGettigan’s JLT and JBR first: both publish 10am weekend opening, but they are different branches with different contacts. For sport plus a game of your own, I would choose Bedrock and reserve the activity separately. For an overnight fixture, I would settle coverage through the final whistle before paying for a table; a posted closing time is not an agreement to show extra time.
The October clock change affects your booking
UK clocks go back on 25 October 2026. A 12:30pm UK start is 3:30pm in Dubai before that change and 4:30pm afterwards. An 8pm UK start after the change is midnight in Dubai, on the following calendar day. That is the date I would give the venue—not just “Sunday’s match”. These are time-conversion examples, not a claim that a particular fixture is scheduled.
The 14 Best Sports Bars in Dubai
1. Offside — JBR
Offside is at JA Ocean View Hotel, The Walk, JBR. The hotel advertises its large indoor sports screen, pool, darts, beer pong and a pet-friendly terrace. It currently lists Monday–Thursday, 3pm–3am, and Friday–Sunday, noon–3am, with smart-casual dress. It is our JBR choice when the group wants games alongside the fixture. Use the published current service rather than a guessed floor or exact TV total. Contact +971 56 522 0219.
2. McGettigan’s — JLT
McGettigan’s JLT is in Cluster J. The operator lists Monday–Friday, noon–2am, Saturday, 10am–3am, and Sunday, 10am–2am. Choose it when the pub setting and JLT location fit the group, with the intended fixture established beforehand. Early doors help with a daytime plan, but a 12:30pm UK game is later in Dubai; the dated clock-change example above explains the difference. Contact +971 54 998 4152. 3. McGettigan’s — JBR, Hilton Dubai Jumeirah
This is the Hilton Dubai Jumeirah branch, not McGettigan’s JLT. Its hotel page lists ten large screens and a ground-level location. Hours are Monday–Friday, 12:30pm–2am; Saturday–Sunday, 10am–2am. I would compare it with Offside for a JBR pub meal, then choose whichever confirms the intended game and sightline. Contact +971 4 318 2319. Barasti has been removed from the active choices: its announced redevelopment and planned 2027 return are not a current sports booking.
4. Garden on 8 — Dubai Media City
Garden on 8 is on Media One Hotel’s eighth floor, with a pub menu and sports programme. The hotel publishes a weekday lunch offer from noon–3pm, so it should not be described as opening only at 4pm on weekdays. Choose it when the Media City location and pub meal fit the group. Its linked menu lists Vegan Curry at AED 78, with the stated taxes and service included. Confirm the particular fixture and table rather than assume a broad UFC or football label covers every broadcast.
5. Spike Bar — Emirates Golf Club
Spike Sports Bar & Terrace is at Emirates Golf Club. The operator advertises 16 screens plus a three-metre terrace screen, with a current published schedule of 11am–11:30pm daily. That makes it a daytime option, although McGettigan’s JLT opens earlier at weekends. We would choose it when the golf-club destination fits the group and the fixture finishes inside its service window. Contact +971 4 417 9842. Establish late-match arrangements before choosing it for an overnight event.
6. Goose Island Tap House — JVC (FIVE Jumeirah Village)
Goose Island Tap House at FIVE Jumeirah Village is the JVC branch. Its specific operator page advertises 18 large screens and 23 beers on tap. The FIVE LUXE JBR branch is separate and advertises a different screen count. Choose the JVC venue for that location and pub menu, then establish the fixture and table. Contact +971 4 248 9989. A craft-beer proposition and a current sports booking give clearer reasons to visit than an invented promise of the crowd’s behaviour.
7. Belgian Beer Café — Barsha Heights
Belgian Beer Café is at Grand Millennium Dubai, Barsha Heights. Its hotel page advertises 11 FHD screens and two large projections, with a Belgian food-and-drinks menu. We would choose it when those menu choices and location are right for the group. Multiple screens give room for more than one broadcast, but do not settle which fixture has the main display or commentary. Specify the match and request the seat before making a large booking.
8. Nuage — Ciel Dubai Marina
Nuage at Ciel Dubai Marina replaces the unconfirmed old Girders entry in this active shortlist. IHG publishes a giant sports screen on the Level 11 pool deck, with 11am–11pm hours and access for non-hotel guests to food and drinks. We would choose it for a daytime or early-evening match in a poolside setting. Swimming or loungers need their own access arrangement. Girders’ old happy-hour times should not be used for a current JA Ocean View booking; that hotel now lists Offside.
9. Original Wings & Rings — DIFC
Original Wings & Rings has a DIFC restaurant at Liberty House, with other Dubai branches listed by the operator. Choose it when wings and the sports-restaurant format are the plan. Its own site gives the current branch, food menu and promotions; use the DIFC information for this visit. For an NFL booking, specify the game and finish time before arranging the table. The cuisine and screen setup do not establish that American football automatically has priority over every competing fixture.
10. Bedrock — Pier 7, Dubai Marina
Bedrock is on the first floor of Pier 7, Dubai Marina. Its operator advertises over 21 sports screens, indoor golf and darts. Choose it when the group wants sport and a booked activity at the same venue. Its current Mad Mondays offer lists AED 50 pizzas and half-price games. Contact +971 4 578 1668 to arrange the fixture and activity slot. A table and a golf booking are separate products, so settle both when the evening depends on them.
11. The Croft — Dubai Marina (Dubai Marriott Harbour Hotel & Suites)
The Croft is on the fifth floor of Dubai Marriott Harbour Hotel & Suites, serving a British menu. Its current operator schedule is Monday closed, Tuesday–Saturday, 4pm–1am, and Sunday, 12:30pm–1am. We would choose it for a British pub-style meal and an arranged sports viewing in that part of the Marina. Contact +971 4 319 4000. A June World Cup promotion or prediction game is a dated event, so use the current match arrangement for an October visit.
12. Kickers — Dubai Sports City
Kickers is at ISD Dubai Sports City, with a terrace overlooking a football field. Its operator separates three services: Kickers Monday–Thursday 4pm–2am, Friday–Sunday noon–2am; Kickers Garden Tuesday–Sunday 4pm–midnight; and Kick Cafe daily 8am–9pm. Choose the actual venue for the fixture and food you want. A daytime café opening does not extend the sports bar’s hours. Contact +971 52 894 6917.
13. The 44 — Al Habtoor City
The 44 remains active at Hilton Dubai Al Habtoor City, Level 44. Its operator advertises bowling, billiards, darts, pinball and sports viewing, while the live Google profile shows business-updated late hours. It is our activity-led group choice when bowling is part of the plan. Contact +971 54 581 1758 and reserve the intended game or table. For late UFC or NFL, establish the full broadcast and finish time; a late closing alone does not guarantee coverage of a card beginning near that hour.
14. Fibber Magee’s — Trade Centre (also Barsha Heights)
Fibber Magee’s SZR is at Saeed Tower 1, Sheikh Zayed Road. Its operator separately names The Four Provinces at Social Hotel, Barsha Heights. Use the correct branch and menu: the 2026 SZR document explicitly says its packages do not apply at The Four Provinces. We would choose the SZR venue for that pub-and-food plan, with the fixture arranged in advance. Contact +971 4 332 2400. Barsha Heights is a separate destination, not “north of the creek”.
Best For…
- Daytime plan: McGettigan’s JLT opens at 10am weekends; Spike and Nuage list 11am. Convert the actual fixture to UAE time first.
- NFL: establish the specific game and full finish time with the chosen venue, especially for overnight US fixtures.
- Combat sport: arrange the named card and coverage through the final bout; a general sports label is not the programme.
- Cricket: confirm the match, commentary and any overlapping football before booking the table.
- Published screen counts: Bedrock advertises over 21, Goose Island JVC 18, and Belgian Beer Café 11 plus two large projections.
- Group activities: choose Bedrock’s golf or darts, The 44’s bowling, or Offside’s advertised games alongside the fixture.
- Pitch-side setting: compare the actual Kickers or Kickers Garden service at Dubai Sports City.
- Pub meal: compare the current food menu at McGettigan’s JLT, Fibbers SZR or The Croft, with the actual branch stated.
What to Actually Ask Before You Book a Table
The question we would ask is: “Will you show [team] versus [opponent] in [competition] at [UAE start time], with commentary, and can we book a table facing that screen?” That identifies the actual evening. Add the party size and any game booking, then settle the cost before inviting everyone. Screen count, menu and location help choose the venue; the confirmed fixture and usable seat make it work on match day.
- Simultaneous fixtures: name the competition and teams, then ask which screen and sound are allocated to your match.
- Booking cost: settle the deposit, minimum spend, inclusions and cancellation terms for the actual event.
- Commentary: establish whether your booked seating hears the intended broadcast and whether another event uses the room’s sound.
- Full match window: convert kick-off to UAE time and allow for extra time or a late finish before choosing by opening hours.
Barasti’s closure, old names and dated offers
Do not travel to Barasti for an October screening. June reporting with operator comment announced redevelopment and a planned return in 2027. Keep its former beach-bar format as history; an exact reopening date and future sports programme are not established here.
Older venue names and dated tournament offers need their own current confirmation. Nuage’s published sports-screen format and JA Ocean View’s Offside provide separate choices with their own venue details. The Croft’s summer World Cup activity is not an October promotion, and Fibbers’ SZR offers do not apply to its differently named Barsha Heights venue. Use the live branch and event for the booking, rather than carry an old deal forward indefinitely.
Get the UAE kick-off time right
When the UK is on British Summer Time, Dubai is three hours ahead: a 12:30pm UK fixture is 3:30pm in Dubai. When the UK is on Greenwich Mean Time, Dubai is four hours ahead: the same 12:30pm start becomes 4:30pm. Use the actual date when converting. Allow for the full event and possible extra time, not only the scheduled start.
Two JBR lunch budgets I would compare
McGettigan’s JBR lists one course and a soft drink at AED69, or two courses and a soft drink at AED89, daily 12:30pm–5pm. For two, that is AED138 or AED178 in listed package components: AED40 more for two second courses. That comparison excludes anything outside the package and is not a final event quote or reserved-screen guarantee. I would use it for a lunch-led visit, not assume the same package runs through a late match.
A value-led food choice at Fibbers SZR
The operator’s 2026 SZR menu publishes Tuesday Steak Night, 7pm–midnight: AED 10 for one ribeye steak, with a drink purchase required. Sides, sauces and extras cost separately; it is dine-in only, once per guest per evening. Two eligible steaks therefore have a AED 20 food base, with both required drinks and any extras added. It is not a complete two-person dinner for AED 20, and the offer does not apply at The Four Provinces. Choose it by the food and branch terms, then arrange the fixture.
