The Involuntary Loss of Employment (ILOE) Insurance Scheme is one of the UAE’s most significant social protection initiatives, designed to provide temporary financial relief to workers who lose their jobs through no fault of their own. If you work in the private sector or federal government and face sudden unemployment, understanding the claim process is crucial to securing your benefits.

This guide outlines who is eligible, what documents you need, and how to submit a claim so you can navigate the process smoothly.

    What is the ILOE scheme?

The ILOE insurance scheme was introduced by the UAE government to protect workers’ financial stability, enhance job market competitiveness for Emiratis, and attract top global talent. It offers eligible employees a monthly payout for up to three months after involuntary termination.

This initiative reflects the UAE’s growing focus on strengthening social safety nets while creating a more resilient workforce.
