The menu footnotes say 5% VAT and 10% service charge are already included, with 7% authority fee additional. These food calculations exclude drinks, supplements and any separately agreed table minimum. I would ask for that minimum before comparing a dinner reservation with a cheaper food-only example.
October’s Kanso PDF lists AED158 for a starter, a sushi-course choice and a main, with a detox shot and edamame hummus. The three courses are not a promise of dessert. Its PDF says Monday–Wednesday noon–4.30pm and Thursday–Friday noon–5pm, while the website footer ends Monday–Wednesday lunch at 4pm. I’d book an earlier sitting or resolve that last-half-hour discrepancy with reservations.
The old AED35 lunch-dessert example is not in that October menu. The separate October dessert list prices cinnamon donuts at AED71. Two AED158 lunches plus two of those desserts total AED458, or AED490.06 with the 7% fee, before drinks or supplements. That is a selected-order calculation, not an assertion that two desserts are necessary.
The dedicated Omakase Tuesday PDF now lists AED680 for two. I would compare that actual menu rather than rely on older “second menu complimentary” coverage. It is not the same product as two ordinary Nami sequences. Confirm Tuesday availability and the selected table terms when booking.
