Oro Verde is still one for my Yas Bay watchlist, not tonight’s dinner booking. At our 21 October 2026 check, its own website labels both hours and reservations “Coming Soon”. I like the Japanese-Peruvian direction and the promise of a sharing-led waterfront evening, but I would wait for a dated opening notice and an accepted table reservation before building a night around it.

The status comes from Oro Verde’s dedicated site and the Solutions Group venue page. A “Make a reservation” button on the latter leads to the coming-soon site. For now, that button does not establish a bookable service.
My verdict: an opening to watch, not a meal to review
The Nikkei idea and waterfront setting give this a clear reason to be interesting. The menu, prices and service still have to establish why someone should choose it. I’d wait for a dated opening notice and usable reservation rather than mistake the news sign-up for a table. There is no current-visit score here because the announcement is not a dining experience.

The planned concept is Nikkei: Japanese influences meeting Peruvian cooking. What interests me is whether the menu makes those two influences work together, rather than simply putting sushi beside South American décor. I would look first at the sharing formats, the balance of lighter and larger dishes, and the actual price of building a meal. Those are the details that will turn an attractive announcement into a recommendation.
The Solutions Leisure pedigree
Solutions Group is the operator. The launch coverage describes Oro Verde as its fourth Yas Bay venue, following its established presence on the waterfront. What’s On’s July announcement and The Pro Chef’s report describe a Q4 2026 plan. That is an announced window, not confirmation of a particular opening day or a current service.
The group describes a sharing-led bar and restaurant, with evenings intended to continue into the night. That is the announced format, not a report from a visit. The opening menu, event programme and booking terms are the details to compare once released.
What the preview tells me—and what it does not
The published interior preview shows warm light, patterned tiles, carved wall masks and a curved sofa. I like the layered, intimate direction more than a generic white-box dining room. But it is preview imagery, not evidence of the finished table layout, noise level or service. I would not use it to promise a particular waterfront seat or describe how dinner feels before the venue is operating.
The Nikkei dining experience
The operator has announced the Peru-and-Japan direction, but its venue page still labels the menu as to be confirmed. Do not plan around a named signature dish or an assumed lunch service yet. The useful next development will be a published menu and an opening notice, not another rendering.
