TerraMar at Marriott Hotel Al Jaddaf is our choice for a rooftop drinks-and-snacks visit with a bill you can build item by item. The useful offer is TardeoMar: selected bar snacks from AED 35, beer at AED 35, wine at AED 40 and cocktails at AED 45. It runs daily from 5pm to 9pm on the operator’s current menu. These are separate orders, not an unlimited package or a free platter with every glass. Decide whether you want dinner, a pool visit or an evening drink before selecting the booking.
The venue is on the hotel’s eighth floor, with a restaurant, lounge and poolside setting. Our preference is the early evening offer for a catch-up rather than buying a pool experience you will barely use. If swimming is the main reason to go, select a pool arrangement and establish its inclusions. A drinks promotion and pool admission are different things.
Where TerraMar is and who it suits
TerraMar is at Marriott Hotel Al Jaddaf on Oud Metha Road in Al Jaddaf. Use the hotel’s exact name when organising your arrival; the rooftop venue is within that hotel, not a standalone beach club. Tell reception you are visiting TerraMar on the eighth floor. For a group, agree the meeting point and reservation time instead of leaving everyone to find a generic Al Jaddaf location.
Choose it when the rooftop and a flexible food order are enough for the occasion. For a formal anniversary built around a tasting menu, compare a restaurant offering that specific format. For a beach day, compare an actual beach booking. TerraMar’s useful proposition is a hotel rooftop where you can order drinks, small plates or a casual meal without making every part of the visit an all-day commitment.
There are several ways to book the space, including dining tables, lounge seating, high tables and bar-counter seating on the linked reservation page. Choose according to what you intend to do. A comfortable seat for a long dinner and a spot for one drink are not necessarily the same choice. Put any important seating preference into the reservation rather than assuming every table gives an identical view.
TardeoMar: current hours and actual prices
The operator’s TardeoMar menu gives daily hours of 5pm–9pm. Start with that menu when planning the offer. The venue’s linked OpenTable experience still shows an older 8pm–11pm wine offer, so select the current operator terms when confirming the booking. The current menu prices below are for named items; they do not establish a universal price for every drink served at the bar.

For two people, one AED 40 wine each plus one AED 35 panzerotti gives a base order of AED 115. Two AED 45 cocktails plus one AED 60 fritto misto give AED 150. Those are drinks-and-snacks examples, not full dinners. Use them to set an initial allowance, then add the food you actually want. Ask about any applicable charges when confirming the order rather than inventing a final bill.
Our preference for a short catch-up is one shared plate and one drink each, followed by another order if you still want it. The menu’s separate prices make that easy. For a group, order the snacks in stages rather than putting a full meal’s worth of small plates on the first round. A promotion is poor value if half the food is left because everyone only wanted a drink.
The wine and snack prices are not one combined deal. Two guests ordering two glasses each would have AED 160 in wine alone at the listed price, before food or other additions. That is a different bill from the AED 115 example above. The distinction is worth making before a group agrees to split everything equally: the number of rounds can matter more than the starting snack price.
Which drinks are in the offer?
The listed classic cocktails include a Martini, Margarita, Old Fashioned and Penicillin at AED 45. Signature options include The Garden, with gin, basil and cucumber; Pisco Sunset; Tropicolada; and TerraMar Paloma. Choose by the ingredients rather than the most dramatic name. The Paloma lists jalapeño-infused tequila, while The Garden has a different profile. The offer list is more useful than a promise that every cocktail suits every guest.
The beer section names Amstel Light, Tiger, Birra Moretti and Heineken at AED 35. Wine is listed by type at AED 40, so establish the actual pour before ordering if a particular producer or style matters. Do not treat the category price as proof that the whole wine list qualifies. For guests who do not drink alcohol, choose their order separately instead of assuming an alcoholic happy-hour price applies to a mocktail.
Sun & Sip and pool bookings
The hotel’s linked booking page lists a Sun & Sip experience at AED 50 per person, with a poolside description and an exclusive happy-hour menu. That headline does not publish a complete breakdown of admission, food credit, seating allocation and extras. If you want to swim, select the experience for your date and establish those inclusions before paying. We would not book a pool day on the assumption that buying one discounted drink grants free access.
Keep three costs separate: the pool arrangement, the food order and the drinks. A redeemable charge, a fixed admission fee and a menu purchase are different payment structures. The Sun & Sip listing does not justify describing all of them as one free-access deal. For two guests, its listed starting charge is AED 100 before any food or drink arrangement not expressly included in the chosen booking.
For a restaurant-only outing, reserve a dining table and skip the pool arrangement. For a genuine pool day, ask about the seating type, permitted swimming hours and what happens to the booking if the pool cannot be used. That matters more than whether the rooftop is described as an oasis. The correct booking should match the activity you intend to spend time doing.
Families and daytime clothing
Marriott’s dedicated TerraMar page says children are welcome and must be accompanied by an adult in and around the pool. That contradicts a blanket description of the venue as an adult-only destination. For a family booking, provide the children’s ages and establish the actual pool and seating arrangement. A welcome policy does not establish a free separate sunbed or an included children’s meal.
The dedicated venue page specifies beach-style clothing around the pool during the day and smart casual clothing in the restaurant at night. Clothes must be worn at restaurant, bar and lounge tables. Bring what you need to change if you intend to swim and then eat. A poolside setting does not make swimwear the dress policy for every table or every hour of the visit.
Food menu: what we would order
The current TerraMar Favourites menu runs from starters and sharing snacks to casual mains and desserts. It includes cheese panzerotti at AED 45, char-grilled shrimp at AED 65 and fritto misto at AED 70 outside the TardeoMar list. That gives you a useful comparison: the offer prices for those plates are AED 10 lower each. Choose the offer window if those are the dishes you want, rather than assuming every menu item is discounted.
For a meal rather than snacks, the Favourites menu lists a mushroom burger at AED 75 and Chicken Franko at AED 69. The mushroom burger contains a beef patty. It is not a vegetarian mushroom substitute. That detail is easy to miss when scanning the name. Read the dish description, especially when ordering on behalf of someone whose diet rules out meat.
Vegetable quesadilla is listed at AED 69 and includes cheese, guacamole, pico de gallo and sour cream. Cheese panzerotti and arancini also contain dairy. These are different choices from a vegan order. For allergies or a specific dietary requirement, discuss the full preparation with the team, including sauces and shared cooking, rather than relying only on a dish’s vegetable or mushroom name.
Caesar salad is AED 55, with chicken listed as an extra AED 10 and shrimp as an extra AED 20. The base description includes eggs and Parmesan. That is another useful budget distinction: adding shrimp produces a different price from choosing the plain salad. Decide whether the salad is your main meal or a shared starter before adding extras automatically.
Our food-led order would have fewer fried plates than a drinks-led one. Start with a salad, then choose a main each or discuss a sharing option. For a snack visit, panzerotti and one other plate are enough to start the order. The menu gives you flexibility; use it to match appetite rather than take every listed small plate because the unit prices look manageable.
For a fair price comparison, cheese panzerotti plus fritto misto total AED 95 on TardeoMar and AED 115 on the Favourites menu: AED 20 less for the same two named plates. Adding the listed shrimp plate brings the comparison to AED 150 versus AED 180. That is a useful saving when those are the dishes you wanted anyway. We would not add another plate just to claim a discount; the extra order increases the bill even when its unit price is lower.
A worked casual-meal budget
One AED 55 Caesar salad, one AED 75 mushroom-and-beef burger and one AED 69 Chicken Franko give a base food total of AED 199. Adding one listed AED 45 New York cheesecake makes AED 244 before drinks or other additions. This is a shared starter and dessert with two mains, not a claim that every couple will choose the same order or that the amount is a fixed dinner package.
For a smaller meal, compare the actual items before adding the pool charge or several drink rounds. The offer and regular food menu have different prices for some overlapping snacks. Choose from the menu being served at your booking time. A good budget comparison uses the same dishes, the same number of guests and the same service window, rather than mixing the lowest price from several separate promotions.
Cheers to Spritz
The operator also lists Cheers to Spritz at AED 49 each, with Aperol, Campari, St-Germain, Villa Massa Limoncello and Jack Apple options. The current offer ends on 31 October 2026. Two qualifying spritzes have a base drinks total of AED 98. This is a named promotion, not a standing price promise for every future visit. Use the current offer page for the chosen date.
Hours and direct reservations
Marriott’s dedicated TerraMar page lists 11am–1am, while the current hotel dining listing, More Cravings and linked booking page show closing at midnight. For an uncomplicated late meal, use midnight as the planning limit and confirm the last kitchen order directly. The 5pm–9pm TardeoMar window is a separate offer period; it does not mean the restaurant only operates during those four hours.
