Good to know
Al Zorah is Ajman’s flagship natural destination — two million square metres of protected mangroves, tidal lagoons and a resident flamingo population, wrapped around a marina, golf course and beach resorts. Kayaking and paddleboarding through the mangrove channels are the signature activities, best at sunrise when the birdlife is most active. With the Oberoi Beach Resort and a boutique marina on site, Al Zorah has become Ajman’s most upmarket leisure address.
Al Zorah is an easy 25-minute drive from Sharjah and around 45 minutes from central Dubai, making it a realistic day trip as well as an overnight stay. Come between October and April for the best weather, and time a mangrove tour for early morning or golden hour when the flamingos and herons are most active.
