Welcome to What’s Hot in UAE. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of whatshotinuae.com and any related content, newsletters and social channels we operate (together, the “Site”). By using the Site you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Site.
1. Who we are
What’s Hot in UAE is a digital media publication covering nightlife, events, dining, lifestyle and culture across the United Arab Emirates. The Site is owned and operated by The Creative One Agency, based in Dubai, UAE. You can reach us through our contact page.
2. Using the Site
You may read, share and link to our content for personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to use the Site in any way that is unlawful, that interferes with its operation or security, that attempts to gain unauthorised access to any part of it, or that involves systematic scraping, republishing or redistribution of our content without our written permission.
3. Our content and intellectual property
All editorial content on the Site — including articles, guides, photography, video, graphics, logos and the What’s Hot in UAE name and branding — is owned by us or used under licence, and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may quote short extracts with clear attribution and a link back to the original article. Reproducing full articles, or using our images or branding commercially, requires our prior written consent.
Where third-party material appears on the Site — for example venue photography, artist imagery or event artwork — it remains the property of its respective owner and is used with permission or under fair use for editorial reporting.
4. Accuracy of listings and editorial information
We work hard to keep our event listings, venue details, opening hours, prices and offers accurate and current. However, the hospitality and events industry moves quickly. Venues change their timings, offers are withdrawn, line-ups change and events are postponed or cancelled, often at short notice and without informing us.
All information on the Site is provided for general guidance only. We strongly recommend confirming details directly with the venue, promoter or official ticketing partner before making plans, travelling or spending money. We are not responsible for any loss, disappointment or expense arising from information on the Site that has changed or become out of date.
5. Advertising, sponsored content and partnerships
What’s Hot in UAE is funded in part by advertising and commercial partnerships. Some content on the Site is sponsored, paid for, or produced in collaboration with a brand or venue. Where this is the case, we label it clearly.
We may also use affiliate links, meaning we could earn a commission if you book or buy through them, at no additional cost to you. Commercial relationships do not give partners editorial control over our opinions or recommendations.
6. Third-party links and venues
The Site links to third-party websites, booking platforms, ticketing partners and social accounts that we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, availability, pricing, terms or privacy practices. Any dealings you have with a third party — including bookings, ticket purchases and reservations — are between you and that third party.
7. Comments and user submissions
Where the Site allows comments, tips, event submissions or other contributions, you are responsible for what you post. You agree not to submit anything unlawful, defamatory, misleading, offensive, or that infringes someone else’s rights. By submitting content you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish, edit and reproduce it on the Site and our channels. We may remove or edit any submission at our discretion, without notice.
8. Nightlife, licensed venues and age
The Site covers nightlife, bars, clubs and licensed venues as part of its editorial remit. This content is intended for adults. Licensed venues in the UAE set their own entry age, dress code and admission policies, and these are enforced at their discretion. Nothing on the Site is an invitation or encouragement to breach UAE law, venue policy, or any applicable licensing rules. Please drink responsibly and never drive after drinking.
9. Availability of the Site
We aim to keep the Site available and running smoothly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend, withdraw or restrict all or part of the Site for maintenance, development or business reasons without notice.
10. Limitation of liability
The Site and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, express or implied, regarding the Site’s accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data, or opportunity, arising from your use of the Site or reliance on its content. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
11. Privacy and cookies
How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy, and our use of cookies is explained in our Cookie Policy. Both form part of these Terms.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Site, our business or the law. The version published on this page is the one that applies, and the date at the top shows when it was last revised. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute arising from them or from your use of the Site is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, UAE.
14. Contact us
