Traffic fines in Dubai are serious — some are among the highest in the world. In 2026, understanding Dubai Traffic Fines 2026 is essential for all drivers. Knowing the amounts, how to check if you have outstanding fines, and how to pay them is essential for anyone driving in the UAE. Here’s the current picture for 2026.

🔍 Check or Pay Your Dubai Fines — Official Sources Only

Use only official government platforms. Third-party apps cannot pay fines on your behalf.

How to Check Your Dubai Traffic Fines

The fastest way to check outstanding fines is via the Dubai Police app or the Dubai Police website (dubaipolice.gov.ae). You can also check via the RTA Dubai app and the UAE’s unified UAEPAY platform. You’ll need your Emirates ID or driving licence number. Checks are free and instant, making it easy to keep up with Dubai Traffic Fines 2026 updates.

    Key Fine Amounts (2026)

These are the current amounts for the most common traffic violations in Dubai, according to Dubai Traffic Fines 2026:

    • Speeding (up to 20km/h over limit): AED 300 + 6 black points
    • Speeding (21–30km/h over): AED 500 + 6 points
    • Speeding (31–40km/h over): AED 700 + 6 points
    • Speeding (41–50km/h over): AED 1,000 + 12 points
    • Speeding (61km/h+ over): AED 3,000 + 23 points + vehicle impound
    • Running a red light: AED 1,000 + 12 points + vehicle impound (15 days)
    • Using a mobile phone while driving: AED 800 + 4 points
    • Not wearing a seatbelt: AED 400 + 4 points
    • Illegal parking: AED 200–1,000 depending on location
    • Salik non-payment: AED 100 per gate (max AED 400/month)

    Black Points System

Dubai operates a black points system alongside financial fines. Accumulating 12 points results in a 30-day driving ban. 24 points trigger a 3-month ban. 24+ points for a second time can result in a permanent licence revocation according to Dubai Traffic Fines 2026 rules. Points reset after 1 year from the date of the violation. Therefore, staying within the limits is crucial to avoid the consequences of Dubai Traffic Fines 2026.

    How to Pay Fines

Fines can be paid via the Dubai Police app, website, or at any police station. They can also be paid at RTA service centres and select ATMs. Note: outstanding fines must be cleared before your vehicle registration (Mulkiya) can be renewed. A 50% discount on fines is periodically offered during special amnesty periods — watch official channels for these.
